The parish contains the three villages of Broad Hinton, Winterbourne Bassett and Uffcott. It sits a few miles south of Swindon and is in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The parish has a rich history and archeology dating back to the Roman times and beyond, being just north of the Avebury World Heritage Site.
There is a village hall, several pubs and a restaurant, a school and many clubs and societies.
The hall hosts many activities and clubs, and is the location for productions of the Broad Hinton Amateur Dramatics Society. The venue is available to hire for wedding receptions and other events.
There has been a village hall in Broad Hinton since 1916, with the new hall opening in 2009. The hall is run by the Broad Hinton Village Hall trustee committee.

Broad Hinton Church of England Primary School
The school was founded in 1743 and teaches children aged 4 to 11. They pride themselves on the welcoming and family atmosphere they create for the children, parents and community. They provide opportunities for all children to learn and achieve within a happy, safe, structured and disciplined Christian environment, including gifted children and those with specific needs.
The Winterbourne, Winterbourne Bassett
The pub was originally built in 1916 and called The White Horse but was put up for sale by Wadworth's Brewery in 2017. Residents formed the Winterbourne Bassett Community Pub Society to purchase the pub, and after some refurbishment reopened with new tenants and a new name 'The Winterbourne'.
Today, the freehold pub offers a full bar, meals to eat in or takeaway, a large garden with views of the Ridgeway and a coffee shop. It also has a feature van with a wood fired pizza oven.
The Crown, Broad Hinton
The Crown is in the centre of Broad Hinton, with a large garden overlooking the fields between Broad Hinton and Winterbourne Bassett.
They serve meals to eat in or takeaway, a delicatessen, and have a carvery on a Sunday, with the "Get Battered" fish and chip van open Friday and Saturday evenings.
La Strada, Broad Hinton
La Strada is a new restaurant that opened in 2020 serving Italian food to eat in, takeaway or have delivered. They also offer traditional British roasts on a Sunday.
St Peter ad Vincula, Broad Hinton
The site has had a church here since Saxon times, with the current tower dating from the 15th century.
The church is unique in the Upper Kennet benefice as it has its own choir and team of bellringers, making it a popular wedding choice, with the Village Hall a short walk away for wedding receptions.

St Katherine & St Peter, Winterbourne Bassett
The church dates from at least the 14th century and was dedicated to St. Catherine in the 16th century but was known as St. Peter’s in 1848. Since 1904 it has been dedicated to St Katherine and St Peter.

White Horse Cricket Club, Broad Hinton
We are a small village cricket club based between Swindon, Royal Wootton Bassett, Marlborough and Devizes. We offer a range of cricket for the local community. On Saturday we play in Division 3 of the Wiltshire League, one of the highest placed one team clubs in Wiltshire.
On Sundays we offer a range of friendlies against local clubs that we have good relationships with. We also offer Evening cricket in Division 2 of the Swindon Midweek League. We would normally also run winter nets in the run up to the season and compete in the Swindon Indoor Winter Cricket league. So we offer a variety of cricket formats to every standard of player
