The Broad Hinton and Winterbourne Bassett Parish Council represents the residents of the three villages of Broad Hinton, Winterbourne Bassett and Uffcott. Our villages are situated on the picturesque Marlborough Downs in Wiltshire approx. 5 miles south of the town of Swindon. Access to our villages is excellent with the M4 just a 15 minute drive away and nearby Swindon station serves London in just one hour, affording easy access to the West Country .
The three villages are of different sizes with Broad Hinton being the largest with a population of approx 650. Winterbourne Bassett is smaller with approx 160 residents, whilst Uffcott is a hamlet with approx 55 residents. Broad Hinton and Winterbourne Bassett have their own Church of England churches and there are two public houses and a restaurant that serve the three villages. We also have a thriving local primary school and a modern and dynamic village hall.
We're still developing the site and if there is any information or documents that you can't find, please contact the Clerk.
